It has been a while since a previous ATF admin Darkmatter has been charged by the Australian authorities for the possession of 2D loli material. Dark matter has been out on bail ever since while he is undergoing the trail and I been in contact with his girlfriend and got a big update on his situation:

 

1. He will plead guilty on the advice of his lawyers, who he spent a couple of thousand dollars on already.

 

2. Maximum penalty is seven years, but similar cases against cartoon images only resulted in 4 months jail time.

 

3. Worst case scenario would be one year of jail time and there are a lot of mitigating factors in his favor as well.

 

All in all, Darkmatter might be free in less than half a year, so let's hope it will be so.

I wish him good luck in the trial and hope he will someday return to us here.

I don't get these people, but then again until a few years ago Australia didn't even have Freedom of Speech, so I'm not surprised this is happening. I wish Darkmatter well and hope this gets resolved favourably.

If he does have to go to jail, I just hope his jailmates do know the difference between a child molester and someone who looks at drawings...

Glad to hear it. If he does go to jail...he might want solitary confinement. The likelyhood he's gonna get a pat on the back from his fellow inmates for "possessing child porn" is low.

4 months must be a long time in which you can't do much more than preparing the trial. So maybe another ennoying 4 months more and then he is 'free'. I can imagine he and his partner will then move straight to another country in which they can really feel free!

I would think the exact same thing too, IF he stay in

I think he's done it just in case. Better safe than sorry. I'm sure he's carefully considering his every step now *before* attempting anything. If it's safe to return, then he prob will. If not... shit happens.
